WHAT I DO
| adapt a composition for performance with instruments or voices other than those originally specified
I specialize in creating custom arrangements for show choirs, a cappella ensembles, and original musicals, tailored to highlight the unique strengths of each group. If you have a project in mind, I’d love to collaborate—let’s make it happen!
| write or create a work of art
My compositions primarily focus on choral works, though I’ve also written several solo pieces for voice and piano, as well as chamber instrumental music. I’m excited to continue expanding and diversifying my catalog.
In my free time, I enjoy composing background music (scoring) for my Dungeons & Dragons group, adding a creative touch to our adventures.
Transcribe
| put into written or printed form
Whether it’s a song you like that you just can’t find sheet music for, or it’s an audio recording of a song you wrote but want it in sheet music form, I can help! I have done a variety of transcription projects, including piano/vocals, lead sheets, or chord charts. If you want to know more, please let me know and I’ll see what I can do for you!
Educate
| give intellectual, moral, and social instruction to someone
I earned my degree in Music Education, with an emphasis in voice, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a Master’s degree in Education: Curriculum and Instruction from Northwest Missouri State University. Currently, I teach middle school and high school choir. More details can be found in my resume.
ACCOMPANY
| to perform an instrumental or vocal part designed to support or complement a melody
I have been playing piano for various ensembles for many years. While I enjoy playing for ensembles, I also enjoy accompanying solo voices in various settings. I often find myself playing piano for various community theater auditions.
Music Direct
| have responsibility of the musical aspects of a performance, production, or organization
Musical theater is one of my passions. While I enjoy being in shows, I much prefer to be on the other side of the production in the role of music director. Most recently, I was the music director for Nebraska Communities Playhouse’s production of the Guys and Dolls.
